The Nantucket Tennis & Swim Club is proud to have one of the finest tennis staffs available at any club. Our full-time staff of eight professionals is dedicated to their craft and their students. They each bring a unique background to NTSC, but they all share a common passion – the love of tennis. They are superb coaches and experienced players understanding the individual goals and needs of their students. The staff enthusiastically strives to bring out the best in all!

H.Wetzel
Tennis Director

“H” has been Tennis Director at NTSC since 2002. He is an USPTA certified Professional 1 and brings 29 years of experience and tennis knowledge to the job. In the winter months he is the Director of Tennis at the Boca Bay Pass Club on Boca Grande, Florida. To keep up interest in tennis, “H” is always monitoring, improving, and updating the programs that are offered at the club. A true student of the game “H” enjoys the challenge of finding a way to effectively communicate his knowledge of the game to his myriad of students. He spends countless hours on the court coaching, always with a big smile on his face. His passion for the game is contagious! Before coaching, “H” played on the professional tennis circuit traveling the world.

Steve Ethier
Head Tennis Professional

In 2004, Steve Ethier started his first full season at The Nantucket Tennis & Swim Club as Head Professional. During the winter months, Steve coaches full-time on Boca Grande in Florida. Steve started his teaching career in Germany where he developed many programs for both juniors and adults over a span of 15 years at two prestigious clubs. Prior to teaching, he played four years of collegiate tennis at a top twenty Division I program. Steve’s professional career spanned four years where he achieved a world ranking in the top 250. At Nantucket Tennis & Swim Club, Steve spends over 60 hours per week on the court with all ages and abilities.
